Description
Crispy, cinnamon-coated air fried apple wedges served with a rich and fluffy caramel whipped cream dipping sauce. A fast and family-friendly dessert perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), cored and sliced into wedges
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp coconut sugar
1/2 tsp cornstarch
Pinch of sea salt
1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
1 cup cold heavy cream (or coconut cream)
2 tbsp date syrup or caramel-flavored agave
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Wash, core, and slice the apples into 1/2-inch thick wedges.
2. Pat the slices dry thoroughly and toss them with lemon juice if desired.
3. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon, coconut sugar, cornstarch, and sea salt.
4. Coat apple wedges evenly in the seasoning blend.
5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
6. Place the apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
7. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and tender.
8. Meanwhile, whip the cream with date syrup and vanilla extract until fluffy.
9. Let apple wedges rest for 3–4 minutes before serving.
10. Serve warm with the caramel whipped cream for dipping.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, use chilled coconut cream instead of heavy cream.
Store leftover apples in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the air fryer.
