Description
Perfectly caramelized air fryer salmon glazed with a sweet, spicy gochujang sauce crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with Korean-inspired flavor.
Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
For the gochujang glaze:
2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp grated ginger
Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
2. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and lightly brush with olive oil.
3. Season each fillet with salt and pepper.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until smooth.
5. Brush half of the glaze evenly over the salmon fillets.
6. Place salmon in the air fryer basket (skin-side down if applicable).
7. Cook for 7–9 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
8. Brush with remaining glaze and air fry for 1 additional minute to caramelize.
9. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
Serve with steamed rice, roasted veggies, or a cucumber salad for a balanced meal.
For a milder version, reduce the gochujang and add extra honey.
Leftovers taste great cold on salads or in rice bowls.
