This Ultimate Banana Bread is moist, flavorful, and easy to make with ripe bananas and simple ingredients.
Ingredients
3 ripe bananas, mashed
2 large eggs
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or dark chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
2. Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan
3. Mash bananas in a large bowl
4. Whisk in eggs, butter, vanilla, and sugars
5. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt
6. Fold dry ingredients into banana mixture
7. Add optional mix-ins
8. Pour into pan and smooth top
9. Bake 50–60 mins, until toothpick comes out clean
10. Cool 10 mins in pan, then on rack 30 mins before slicing
Notes
Use overripe bananas for best results
Avoid overmixing for a soft crumb
Wrap and store at room temperature or freeze in slices
