Description
A rich, creamy cheesecake swirled with caramel, layered with fresh bananas, and topped with toasted nuts and more caramel. A decadent show-stopping dessert!
Ingredients
CRUST:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
CHEESECAKE FILLING:
3 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup caramel sauce
TOPPING:
2 bananas, sliced
1/2–3/4 cup caramel sauce
1/2 cup toasted pecans (or walnuts)
Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
2. Mix graham crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press firmly into the pan. Bake for 8 minutes, then cool.
3. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently.
5. Mix in mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla.
6. Pour half the batter into the crust.
7. Drizzle caramel sauce over the layer.
8. Pour remaining batter on top.
9. Wrap the pan in foil and place in a water bath.
10. Bake 55–65 minutes, until the center is slightly jiggly.
11. Cool completely, then chill at least 4 hours or overnight.
12. Before serving, top with sliced bananas, toasted nuts, and caramel sauce.
13. Add whipped cream if desired.
Notes
For cleaner caramel swirls, warm the caramel slightly before drizzling.
Use very ripe bananas for maximum flavor.
This cheesecake freezes beautifully (without fresh bananas on top).
