- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the beef: Place the sliced beef in a bowl and add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Heat the oil: Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat in a large pan or wok.
- Cook garlic and ginger: Add minced garlic and ginger, stirring until fragrant, about one minute.
- Cook the beef: Add the marinated beef to the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes until browned.
- Add broccoli and steam: Stir in broccoli florets, add a splash of water, and cover to steam for 3-4 minutes.
- Final touches: Stir everything together, season to taste with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional minute.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, replace beef with tofu. You can also add more vegetables for extra nutrition.
