Ingredients
4 slices sourdough or multigrain bread
2 tbsp blackberry preserves
1 tbsp balsamic glaze
4 oz Brie cheese, sliced
2 tbsp unsalted butter or ghee
4 oz grilled chicken thighs or roast turkey (optional)
Pinch of sea salt and pepper
Olive oil (if cooking meat)
1 tsp garlic powder (for rub)
½ tsp thyme
½ tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
2. Butter one side of each bread slice.
3. Spread blackberry preserves on two slices (unbuttered side).
4. Layer Brie, balsamic glaze, and optional meat over the preserves.
5. Top with remaining bread, buttered side out.
6. Place sandwich on skillet and grill for 3–4 minutes per side.
7. Flip gently and press down slightly until golden brown.
8. Check if Brie is melted; remove from heat.
9. Let rest for 1–2 minutes before slicing.
10. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
