Description
Bruschetta hearts are a charming twist on the classic Italian appetizer crispy toasted bread cut into heart shapes and topped with fresh tomatoes, basil, garlic, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
Ingredients
1 baguette
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cups cherry tomatoes, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Balsamic glaze for drizzling
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Slice baguette into rounds and cut each slice into a heart shape using a small cutter or knife.
3. Brush bread hearts lightly with olive oil.
4. Arrange on a baking sheet and toast for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp.
5. In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, garlic, basil, salt, and pepper.
6. Spoon tomato mixture onto each toasted bread heart.
7. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.
Notes
Serve immediately for the best texture.
Add fresh mozzarella pearls for a heartier appetizer.
