Description
A rich and creamy dish combining Cajun spice with Italian pasta, perfect for family dinners and potlucks.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces Bowtie pasta
- 1 pound Ground beef
- 8 ounces Cream cheese
- 15 ounces Alfredo sauce
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 3–4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Bowtie Pasta: Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually around 10-12 minutes. Once the pasta is tender, drain it in a colander and set it aside.
- Prepare the Meat Mixture: In a large skillet, heat about 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes, until translucent.
- Cook the Ground Beef: Add your ground beef to the skillet. Break it up as it cooks, stirring often. Season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Make it Creamy: Reduce heat to medium-low. Add cream cheese to the skillet. Stir continuously until melted and creamy.
- Add Alfredo Sauce: Pour in the Alfredo sauce. Stir well to combine and heat through for about 2-3 minutes.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet. Toss together gently, adding more Alfredo sauce or pasta water if too thick.
- Serve: Serve hot, garnished with extra Cajun seasoning or Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
Pairs well with a side salad and garlic bread.
