A festive and elegant Caprese Christmas Tree made with fresh mozzarella, juicy cherry tomatoes, and fragrant basil leaves  drizzled with balsamic glaze for a holiday appetizer that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.

Ingredients

Scale

24 cherry tomatoes

24 small mozzarella balls (bocconcini)

24 fresh basil leaves

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon balsamic glaze

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish

Toothpicks or skewers

Instructions

1. Arrange toothpicks with one cherry tomato, one basil leaf, and one mozzarella ball on each.

2. Lay the skewers on a large serving board in the shape of a Christmas tree, starting from the base and working upward.

3. Fill in gaps with extra basil leaves or tomatoes for fullness.

4. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze just before serving.

5. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.

6. Garnish the base and edges with fresh rosemary sprigs to resemble tree branches.

Notes

Use colored cherry tomatoes (red and yellow) for a vibrant look.

Add a small star-shaped piece of cheese at the top for decoration.

Serve with toasted baguette slices or crackers for extra texture.
