Description
Flaky puff pastry filled with caramelized pears and creamy brie perfect for an elegant appetizer or holiday treat.
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1–2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
4 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cubed
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Honey for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Roll puff pastry into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
3. Arrange pear slices evenly on half of the pastry.
4. Scatter brie pieces over the pears.
5. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top.
6. Fold pastry over to cover filling and cut into triangles or snowflake shapes.
7. Brush with beaten egg.
8. Bake 15–20 minutes until golden and puffed.
9. Drizzle with honey if desired and serve warm.
Notes
Use firm, ripe pears for best results.
Brie can be substituted with camembert or goat cheese.
Use cookie cutters for festive shapes.
