A crispy, golden crust pizza baked right in a cast iron skillet — loaded with gooey cheese, rich tomato sauce, and your favorite toppings for that perfect homemade pizzeria vibe.
Ingredients
1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, etc.)
Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
2. Place a 10- or 12-inch cast iron skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
3. Stretch pizza dough to fit the skillet, pressing it slightly up the sides.
4. Cook the dough for 2–3 minutes until the bottom begins to crisp.
5. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
6. Add mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and your desired toppings.
7. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
8. Remove from oven, cool slightly, and top with fresh basil before slicing.
Notes
For extra crispiness, preheat the skillet in the oven before adding the dough.
Try different cheeses like provolone or cheddar for unique flavor.
Leftovers can be reheated in the skillet to restore crispness.
