- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 4 slices fresh tomato
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan
- Fresh basil leaves
- 2 burger buns, lightly toasted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine ground beef with salt, black pepper, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
- Mix until fully incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
- Shape the mixture into two thick burger patties.
- Sear the patties in a hot skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Transfer the seared patties to a baking tray.
- Spoon pizza sauce over each patty.
- Top with tomato slices, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Toast the burger buns until crisp.
- Assemble the burgers with the cheesy patties and fresh basil on the buns.
