Delicious and hearty Cheesy Meatball Subs filled with juicy meatballs, marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese, perfect for any meal.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 4 hoagie rolls
- Olive oil for toasting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Roll the mixture into small meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake meatballs for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and golden.
- While baking, heat marinara sauce in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add baked meatballs to the marinara sauce and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- While simmering, cut hoagie rolls lengthwise to create pockets.
- Fill each hoagie roll with meatballs and sauce, then top with mozzarella cheese.
- Drizzle olive oil on the outside of rolls and bake for an additional 10 minutes to melt cheese and toast rolls.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, consider using fresh herbs or adding vegetables to the meat mixture.
