Description
A creamy, smoky, and slightly spicy chipotle garlic sauce made with sour cream perfect as a dip, taco drizzle, or sandwich spread.
Ingredients
1 cup sour cream
1–2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (to taste)
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tbsp lime juice
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Salt, to taste
1 tsp honey or sugar (optional, to balance heat)
Instructions
1. Add sour cream, chipotle peppers, garlic, lime juice, smoked paprika, and salt to a blender or food processor.
2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
3. Taste and adjust seasoning — add more lime for tang or honey for balance.
4. Transfer to a bowl or airtight container.
5. Chill for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to develop.
6. Serve as a dip, drizzle, or spread.
Notes
For extra heat, add an additional chipotle pepper or a splash of adobo sauce.
Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a lighter version.
Keeps in the refrigerator for up to 5 days in a sealed container.
