Description
A decadent no-bake pie with layers of chocolate cream and cherry topping.
Ingredients
1 prepared chocolate cookie crust
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups heavy cream, whipped
2 cups cherries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
1. Prepare crust and set aside.
2. Melt chocolate over double boiler, cool slightly.
3. Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
4. Fold in whipped cream and melted chocolate.
5. Pour mixture into crust and smooth top.
6. Cook cherries with sugar and cornstarch until thickened, cool.
7. Spread cherry topping over pie.
8. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, use whipped topping instead of heavy cream.
Use dairy-free chocolate and cream for a vegan option.
