A rich, easy-to-make breakfast bake featuring buttery croissants and melty chocolate.
Ingredients
4 large day-old croissants
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
4 eggs
1 ½ cups milk (or dairy-free alternative)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ cup brown sugar
Butter or plant-based spread, for greasing
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Grease a 9×13 baking dish with butter or plant-based spread.
3. Tear croissants into large pieces and add to the dish.
4. Sprinkle chocolate chunks over croissants.
5. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar.
6. Pour mixture evenly over croissants.
7. Let sit for 10–15 minutes or cover and refrigerate overnight.
8. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and set.
9. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
