Description

Rich and moist chocolate cupcakes filled with chocolate ganache and topped with chocolate frosting, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache (for filling)
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Combine wet ingredients in another bowl: vegetable oil, vanilla, buttermilk, and egg.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Stir in boiling water.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Cool the cupcakes in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. Fill each cupcake with chocolate ganache using a knife or corer.
  9. Frost the cupcakes with chocolate frosting.
