Description

Warm, comforting, and full of spiced fruit flavor, this Cinnamon Plum Crumble combines juicy plums with a buttery oat topping for a cozy dessert perfect for fall evenings.

Ingredients

Scale

6 cups ripe plums, pitted and sliced

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 cup old-fashioned oats

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, combine sliced plums, granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch. Toss well to coat.

3. Transfer the plum mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.

4. In another bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Pour in melted butter and vanilla; stir until crumbly.

5. Sprinkle the oat crumble evenly over the plums.

6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.

7. Cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Use firm, ripe plums for the best texture.

You can substitute half of the plums with peaches or berries for variation.

For a gluten-free version, use certified gluten-free oats and a gluten-free flour blend.

Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat before serving.
