Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix dry ingredients: whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Prepare the cinnamon-sugar mixture by mixing the 1/4 cup sugar with ground cinnamon.
  7. Shape the dough into balls and roll each in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
