Description

This Condensed Milk Bread is soft, subtly sweet, and incredibly easy to bake — perfect for breakfast, snacks, or homemade French toast.

Ingredients

Scale

3 cups bread flour

¾ cup warm milk

½ cup sweetened condensed milk

¼ cup softened butter

1 tbsp active dry yeast

½ tsp salt

Butter for brushing (optional)

Instructions

1. Warm the milk and dissolve the yeast. Let sit until foamy.

2. Combine yeast mixture, condensed milk, butter, flour, and salt.

3. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.

4. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1.5 hours).

5. Shape the dough into a loaf or rolls and place into a greased pan.

6. Let it rise again for 30–45 minutes.

7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.

8. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

9. Brush with butter if desired and let cool completely before slicing.

Notes

You can freeze slices for up to 3 months.

Swap dairy ingredients with coconut-based alternatives for a vegan version.

This bread is perfect for French toast or sweet sandwiches.
