Savory mushrooms filled with a creamy, flavorful crab mixture, baked until golden and irresistible a perfect party appetizer or elegant side dish.
Ingredients
20 large white mushrooms, stems removed
8 oz lump crab meat, drained
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 green onions, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil spray
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and remove stems.
3. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, Parmesan, green onions, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, and parsley.
4. Gently fold in the crab meat and mix until combined.
5. Spoon the crab mixture into each mushroom cap, mounding slightly.
6. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and lightly spray with olive oil.
7. Bake for 18–20 minutes until the tops are golden and the filling is hot.
8. Garnish with extra parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Use lump crab for the best texture and flavor.
Add a touch of hot sauce or cayenne for a spicy kick.
These can be assembled ahead and baked just before serving.
