Ingredients

  • 1 large baguette or crusty loaf
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 150 g cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 150 g lump crab meat
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Slice the baguette into thick cubes, ensuring it stays intact.
  3. Mix melted butter with garlic and parsley to create garlic butter.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture between the bread cuts.
  5. In a bowl, combine shrimp, crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Fold in mozzarella cheese into the seafood mixture.
  7. Stuff the seafood mixture into the pockets of the bread.
  8. Wrap the loaf loosely in aluminum foil.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes, then unwrap and bake for an additional 5-8 minutes.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Use fresh shrimp and crab meat for better flavor. Customize the garlic butter with herbs for added flavor.
