This Cranberry Orange Cheesecake combines the richness of a creamy cheesecake with the tangy sweetness of cranberries and the zest of fresh oranges. With its buttery graham cracker crust, smooth orange-infused filling, and jewel-like cranberry topping, it’s a showstopper dessert for any holiday table.

Ingredients

Scale

For the crust:

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/3 cup melted butter

For the cheesecake filling:

3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

3 large eggs

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup heavy cream

2 tsp orange zest

2 tbsp orange juice

1 tsp vanilla extract

For the cranberry topping:

2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup orange juice

1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water

1/2 tsp orange zest

For garnish (optional):

Candied orange peel

Whipped cream

Fresh cranberries

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.

2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press into the pan and bake 10 minutes. Let cool.

3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.

4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing just until blended.

5. Add sour cream, heavy cream, orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

6. Pour filling over the cooled crust and smooth the top.

7. Bake 55–65 minutes or until center is nearly set. Turn off oven, crack door, and cool 1 hour. Chill at least 4 hours or overnight.

8. For the topping, combine cranberries, sugar, and orange juice in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until berries burst. Stir in cornstarch mixture and simmer 2–3 minutes until thickened. Add orange zest and let cool completely.

9. Spoon cranberry topping over chilled cheesecake and spread evenly.

10. Garnish with whipped cream, fresh cranberries, and orange peel before serving.

Notes

Add 1 tbsp of Grand Marnier to the filling for a deeper orange flavor.

For a crisp crust, bake a few minutes longer before adding the filling.

You can make the cranberry topping 2–3 days ahead and refrigerate.

Freeze cheesecake (without topping) for up to 3 months.
