Ingredients

1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

1/2 cup water

1 medium orange, juiced and zested

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground cloves

1/4 tsp nutmeg

Pinch of salt


Instructions

1. Rinse cranberries and drain.

2. Combine water, honey, and orange juice in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

3. Add cranberries and spices; bring to a gentle boil.

4. Reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes until berries burst.

5. Remove from heat; stir in orange zest.

6. Cool and serve, or refrigerate to thicken flavors.

Notes

Refrigerate up to 1 week.

Freeze for up to 3 months.

Reheat gently before serving.
