Description
Crispy Bang Bang Salmon features golden pan-seared fillets drizzled with creamy, spicy-sweet bang bang sauce. It’s bold, fast, and perfect for weeknights or flavorful meal prep.
Ingredients
For the Salmon:
4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each), skin removed
1 tablespoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons oil for searing
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha (or to taste)
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon lime juice
For Serving:
Steamed rice or jasmine rice
Sliced green onions
Toasted sesame seeds (optional)
Steamed broccoli or cucumber slices (optional)
Instructions
1. Pat salmon dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and garlic powder. Lightly coat the top of each fillet with cornstarch for added crisp.
2. In a bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients until smooth.
3. Heat oil in a nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Place salmon fillets top-side down and sear 3–4 minutes until crispy. Flip and cook another 3–4 minutes until salmon flakes easily.
5. Drizzle or brush bang bang sauce over the cooked salmon.
6. Serve hot over rice with green onions and optional sesame seeds and vegetables.
Notes
Use skinless salmon for even searing.
Adjust sriracha to control heat.
The sauce also works as a dip or drizzle for vegetables and grain bowls.
