- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing (homemade or store-bought)
- 4 slices of crusty bread
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Mix the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in a bowl.
- Coat each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
- Toast the slices of bread until golden.
- Assemble the sandwich with romaine, crispy chicken, and Caesar dressing between the toasted bread.
- Serve warm, optionally with fries or a salad.
Notes
For an extra crispy coating, use Panko breadcrumbs. You can also add extra ingredients like tomatoes or bacon for more flavor.
