Description

A delightful twist on classic Caesar salad, combining crispy fried chicken and fresh romaine between slices of crunchy bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing (homemade or store-bought)
  • 4 slices of crusty bread
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in a bowl.
  4. Coat each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the chicken to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Toast the slices of bread until golden.
  8. Assemble the sandwich with romaine, crispy chicken, and Caesar dressing between the toasted bread.
  9. Serve warm, optionally with fries or a salad.

Notes

For an extra crispy coating, use Panko breadcrumbs. You can also add extra ingredients like tomatoes or bacon for more flavor.
