Description

This Dark Chocolate Blackberry Cheesecake is rich, creamy, and beautifully balanced. The boldness of dark chocolate pairs with tart blackberries for a luxurious dessert perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

1½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs (such as Oreos, without filling)

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Filling:

16 oz cream cheese, softened

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup sour cream

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

6 oz dark chocolate, melted and cooled

½ cup blackberry purée (strained to remove seeds)

For the Topping:

½ cup fresh blackberries

2 oz dark chocolate, shaved or melted (optional, for garnish)

Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Line the bottom of a springform pan with parchment paper.

2. In a bowl, combine cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press into the pan to form an even crust. Bake for 8 minutes, then cool slightly.

3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.

4. Add sour cream, vanilla, and eggs one at a time, mixing just until incorporated.

5. Stir in melted dark chocolate and then swirl in blackberry purée.

6. Pour filling over the crust and smooth the top.

7. Place pan on a baking sheet and bake for 45–50 minutes until edges are set and center slightly jiggles.

8. Turn off oven, crack door, and let cheesecake cool 1 hour inside. Then refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.

9. Before serving, top with fresh blackberries and chocolate shavings or drizzle.

10. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.

Blackberry purée can be made by blending and straining fresh or thawed berries.

This cheesecake freezes well—wrap slices tightly and store up to 1 month.
