Description
A rich and irresistible dark chocolate pistachio toffee bark featuring layers of buttery toffee, smooth dark chocolate, and crunchy roasted pistachios a perfect homemade treat for gifting or indulging.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups dark chocolate chips (60–70% cacao)
1 cup roasted pistachios, roughly chopped
Flaky sea salt for garnish
Instructions
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar, and salt over medium heat.
3. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
5. Quickly pour the hot toffee onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.
6. Sprinkle dark chocolate chips over hot toffee and let sit for 2 minutes to melt.
7. Spread melted chocolate evenly over the toffee using a spatula.
8. Top with chopped pistachios and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt.
9. Cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate until set.
10. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
Notes
For extra depth, toast the pistachios lightly before adding.
Swap pistachios for almonds or hazelnuts if desired.
Store bark in a cool, dry place for up to 2 weeks.
