Description
Deviled strawberries are a fun dessert twist on classic deviled eggs halved strawberries filled with a sweet, creamy cheesecake-style filling, topped with crushed graham crackers or chocolate shavings.
Ingredients
1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup heavy cream (or whipped topping)
Crushed graham crackers or chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
1. Wash and dry the strawberries thoroughly.
2. Slice each strawberry in half lengthwise and use a small spoon or melon baller to gently scoop out a small cavity in the center.
3. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream until smooth and fluffy.
4. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
5. Pipe the cheesecake filling into each strawberry half.
6. Sprinkle crushed graham crackers or chocolate shavings on top.
7. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a chocolate version, add 1 tbsp cocoa powder to the filling.
You can also drizzle melted chocolate over the top for an extra indulgent touch.
Best served chilled on the same day.
