Ingredients
1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 tsp lemon zest
1 tbsp honey (plus extra for drizzling)
1/8 tsp salt
6–8 fresh figs, sliced
Fresh thyme or mint leaves for garnish
Optional: cracked black pepper or balsamic glaze
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.
3. Toast for 6–8 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
4. In a small bowl, mix ricotta, lemon zest, honey, and salt until smooth and creamy.
5. Spread about 1 tablespoon of the ricotta mixture onto each toasted crostini.
6. Top each with sliced figs.
7. Drizzle lightly with honey and garnish with thyme or mint leaves.
8. Add a sprinkle of black pepper or a drizzle of balsamic glaze for an extra layer of flavor.
