Description
Tender beef casserole layered with caramelized onions, cheese, and rich broth.
Ingredients
2 lbs beef chuck, cubed
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cups caramelized onions
2 cups beef broth
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp fresh thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
2. Season and sear beef in olive oil until browned
3. Place beef in casserole dish
4. Top with caramelized onions and pour over broth
5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes
6. Remove foil, top with mozzarella, bake 10 minutes more
7. Let rest 5 minutes before serving
Notes
Best served hot with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables
Store leftovers in fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for 3 months
