Description
This One-Pot Spicy Garlic Butter Chicken Tortellini is the perfect weeknight comfort dish creamy, cheesy, and packed with tender chicken and a bold kick of spice in every bite.
Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) chicken breast, diced
1 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
1 (20 oz) package cheese tortellini, fresh or frozen
2 cups chicken broth
½ cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
1. In a large skillet or sauté pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same pan, add butter, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
3. Add tortellini and chicken broth to the pan. Bring to a simmer and cook 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tortellini are tender.
4. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, and cooked chicken. Simmer 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
5. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve hot for a creamy, spicy, and comforting one-pot meal.
Notes
For extra heat, increase red pepper flakes or add a dash of hot sauce.
Use rotisserie chicken to make this dish even faster.
Substitute half-and-half for heavy cream for a lighter option.
Pairs beautifully with garlic bread or a crisp green salad.
