Description
A delicious mix of tender steak and cheesy pasta in a rich and creamy sauce, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lb sirloin steak, cut into thick bite-size cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 20 oz cheese tortellini (refrigerated or frozen)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1.5 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter over medium-high heat. Add the sirloin steak cubes and season with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook until browned to your preferred doneness, then set aside.
- In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, diced onion, and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream and whole milk. Add the shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, and cubed Velveeta cheese. Cook while stirring until all cheeses melt and the sauce becomes creamy. Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Gently add the cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Once the tortellini is cooked, add the steak bites back to the skillet. Mix gently until everything is well-coated with the sauce. Let it warm for another minute before serving.
Notes
Garnish with extra grated Parmesan cheese or chopped fresh parsley before serving. Pair with garlic bread or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
