Description
Caramelized Garlic Mushrooms with Feta, Walnuts & Hot Honey Drizzle are savory, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced featuring golden mushrooms coated in garlicky butter, tangy feta crumbles, crunchy walnuts, and a drizzle of spicy honey.
Ingredients
1 lb cremini or button mushrooms, cleaned and halved
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/4 cup chopped toasted walnuts
2 tbsp hot honey (or honey + chili flakes)
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Add mushrooms in a single layer and cook for 4–5 minutes without stirring to allow them to brown.
3. Stir and continue cooking until mushrooms are golden and caramelized, about 8–10 minutes total.
4. Add minced garlic, soy sauce, and balsamic vinegar; stir and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
6. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with crumbled feta and toasted walnuts.
7. Drizzle with hot honey and garnish with fresh parsley.
8. Serve warm as a side dish, appetizer, or on toast.
Notes
Use maple syrup with a pinch of cayenne if you don’t have hot honey.
Perfect served with steak, chicken, or crusty bread.
To make it vegan, skip the feta or use a dairy-free alternative.
