Description
Tender halibut fillets coated in a crispy garlic-parmesan crust golden on the outside, flaky on the inside, and bursting with savory flavor. A restaurant-quality seafood dish that’s simple enough for weeknights.
Ingredients
4 halibut fillets (about 6 oz each)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
2 tbsp melted butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp lemon juice
Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, mix Parmesan, breadcrumbs, melted butter, garlic, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper until combined.
3. Pat halibut fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
4. Brush each fillet with lemon juice.
5. Press the garlic-Parmesan mixture evenly over the top of each fillet to form a crust.
6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the crust is golden brown.
7. (Optional) Broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness.
8. Serve hot with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
Notes
This crust works beautifully on other white fish like cod or haddock.
Pair with roasted vegetables or a light salad for a complete meal.
Add a pinch of crushed red pepper for a subtle heat.
