Description
A rich, fudgy brownie pie with a crackly top and a gooey chocolate center baked in a buttery pie crust for the ultimate dessert that’s perfect warm or chilled with ice cream.
Ingredients
1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 tsp salt
Optional: extra chocolate chips or nuts for topping
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the unbaked pie crust into a pie dish and set aside.
2. In a saucepan, melt butter and chocolate chips over low heat, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
3. Whisk in granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until glossy and combined.
4. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt just until no streaks remain.
5. Pour the batter into the pie crust and smooth the top.
6. Sprinkle with extra chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the top is set but the center is still slightly soft.
8. Cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
For an extra gooey texture, slightly underbake the pie.
Add a swirl of caramel or peanut butter before baking for a fun twist.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
