Fresh and zesty grilled lime salmon that’s perfectly charred on the outside and tender on the inside bursting with citrus, garlic, and smoky flavors for the ultimate summer meal.
Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lime juice (freshly squeezed)
1 tsp lime zest
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp honey (optional for slight sweetness)
1/2 tsp chili powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh cilantro and lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, garlic, honey, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
2. Pat salmon fillets dry and brush generously with the lime marinade.
3. Let the salmon marinate for 15–20 minutes at room temperature.
4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
5. Place salmon skin-side down on the grill and cook for 4–5 minutes per side, depending on thickness.
6. Brush occasionally with reserved marinade for extra flavor.
7. Remove from the grill and let rest for 2 minutes.
8. Garnish with chopped cilantro and fresh lime wedges before serving.
Notes
You can grill salmon on foil for easier cleanup.
Add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a little heat.
Serve with grilled vegetables, cauliflower rice, or a fresh green salad for a light and healthy meal.
