Description
These Ham and Cheese Pinwheels are buttery, cheesy, and full of flavor. Made with puff pastry, deli ham, and melted cheese, they bake into golden, flaky bites perfect for parties, game days, or casual lunches.
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
2 tbsp Dijon or honey mustard
6–8 slices deli ham
1 cup shredded Swiss or cheddar cheese
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
1/4 tsp black pepper
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
3. Spread mustard evenly across the pastry.
4. Arrange ham slices evenly over the mustard layer.
5. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly on top.
6. Roll the pastry tightly into a log and slice into 1/2-inch thick pinwheels.
7. Place slices on the prepared baking sheet, brush tops with beaten egg, and sprinkle garlic powder and pepper if desired.
8. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Try different cheeses — Swiss, cheddar, Gruyère, or provolone all work well.
Add a thin layer of cream cheese or ranch dressing for extra richness.
Can be made ahead and reheated in the oven or air fryer.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
