Description
Crispy, golden hashbrown chaffles a low-carb, cheesy breakfast twist combining shredded potatoes (or cauliflower) with eggs and cheese for a satisfying, crunchy waffle alternative.
Ingredients
1 cup shredded hashbrowns (fresh or frozen, thawed and drained)
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 large egg
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking spray or butter for waffle maker
Instructions
1. Preheat your waffle maker and lightly grease it with cooking spray or butter.
2. In a medium bowl, combine hashbrowns, shredded cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
4. Spoon the mixture into the waffle maker, spreading evenly.
5. Close the lid and cook for 4–6 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
6. Carefully remove the chaffle and repeat with remaining mixture.
7. Serve warm with sour cream, ketchup, or your favorite breakfast toppings.
Notes
For a low-carb version, substitute shredded cauliflower for potatoes.
Add diced ham, or green onions for extra flavor.
These chaffles reheat perfectly in an air fryer or toaster for a quick breakfast.
