Description

A charming twist on classic egg-in-a-hole toast, cut into a heart shape and cooked until the egg is perfectly set  simple, cozy, and perfect for a special breakfast.


Ingredients

2 slices sandwich bread

2 large eggs

2 tbsp butter

Salt to taste

Black pepper to taste


Instructions

1. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut a heart from the center of each bread slice.

2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter.

3. Place bread slices in the skillet and crack an egg into each heart cutout.

4. Season eggs with salt and pepper.

5. Cook until egg whites begin to set and bread is golden on the bottom.

6. Flip carefully and cook until egg reaches desired doneness.

7. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use the cut-out bread hearts for toasting or dipping.
