Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a square baking pan with parchment paper.

2. Melt butter and stir in sugar until combined.

3. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.

4. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.

5. Fold in chocolate chips.

6. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.

7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until set but fudgy in the center.

8. Cool completely before removing from pan.

9. Cut brownies using heart-shaped cookie cutters.

10. Serve as is or dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

For clean heart shapes, chill brownies before cutting.

Use dark cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavor.
