Ingredients

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

2 large eggs

1 cup milk

1/3 cup olive oil

1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1 tablespoon chopped chives

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.

3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and olive oil until well combined.

4. Pour wet ingredients into the dry mix and stir until just combined.

5. Fold in the shredded cheddar and chopped herbs gently.

6. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

9. Rest for another 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can customize the herbs based on your preference—rosemary, dill, or scallions work well too.

Avoid overmixing the batter to ensure a tender crumb.

Wrap leftovers in foil and store at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
