Description
Sweet, spicy, and smoky this Jalapeño Peach Chicken brings together juicy seared chicken, a sticky peach glaze, and a hint of heat for a bold and flavorful weeknight meal.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
2 fresh peaches, sliced
1–2 jalapeños, thinly sliced (seeds removed for less heat)
2 tbsp honey
1/4 cup peach preserves
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish
Instructions
1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
3. Add chicken breasts and sear for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through; remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add peach slices and jalapeños; sauté for 2–3 minutes.
5. Stir in honey, peach preserves, vinegar, and chicken broth.
6. Simmer until the mixture thickens into a glossy glaze, about 5 minutes.
7. Return chicken to the pan and spoon sauce over the top.
8. Simmer for another 2 minutes to coat evenly.
9. Garnish with fresh cilantro or green onions and serve hot.
Notes
Use a mix of fresh and frozen peaches if needed — thaw frozen ones before cooking.
For extra heat, keep some jalapeño seeds or add a pinch of chili flakes.
Pairs wonderfully with jasmine rice or roasted sweet potatoes.
