Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the granulated sugar and melted unsalted butter in a bowl until well blended.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Incorporate the flour and salt, stirring until just combined.
  5. Add the fresh lemon juice and zest, mixing gently.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased 9×9-inch baking pan.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking with a toothpick for doneness.
  8. Cool the brownies in the pan.
  9. Prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and lemon juice.
  10. Glaze the cooled brownies generously.
  11. Slice them into squares and serve.
