- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 cup Italian-style bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Set out three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs and milk, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer to a baking dish and mix remaining mozzarella with leftover Parmesan and garlic, spreading it over the chicken.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (165°F/74°C).
- Allow to cool slightly and serve hot with sides.
Notes
For best results, use fresh ingredients and ensure not to overcrowd the skillet while cooking.
