Description
A rich, buttery pasta loaded with golden sautéed mushrooms, garlic, and parmesan. Simple, cozy, and ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
8 oz pasta (fettuccine, linguine, or spaghetti)
3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
12 oz mushrooms, sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup pasta water (reserved)
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
2. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add mushrooms and cook until golden and reduced, about 6–8 minutes.
4. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; cook 1 minute until fragrant.
5. Stir in cooked pasta, reserved pasta water, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
6. Toss until buttery and coated, adding more pasta water if needed.
7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
Notes
Use a mix of mushrooms (cremini, shiitake, oyster) for deeper flavor.
Add grilled chicken or shrimp for extra protein.
Finish with a squeeze of lemon for brightness.
