No-Bake Orange Creamsicle Truffles: A Nostalgic Sweet Treat

  • Author: Michael
  • Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins (includes chilling)
  • Yield: 2024 truffles 1x

Description

These No-Bake Orange Creamsicle Truffles are creamy, zesty, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Featuring a bright orange flavor wrapped in smooth white chocolate, they taste just like your favorite creamsicle without turning on the oven!

Ingredients

Scale

1 package (8 oz / 225 g) cream cheese, softened

2 cups (240 g) white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate

1 tablespoon orange zest (from 1 large orange)

1½ teaspoons orange extract (or orange oil for stronger flavor)

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup (100 g) powdered sugar, sifted

A few drops orange food coloring (optional, for that creamsicle hue)

1 cup (100 g) graham cracker crumbs or vanilla cookie crumbs (for texture)

Extra melted white chocolate or powdered sugar for coating

Instructions

1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.

2. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth and fluffy. Add orange zest, orange extract, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.

3. Slowly add the melted white chocolate and powdered sugar to the cream cheese mixture. Mix until smooth. If using, add a few drops of orange food coloring for a creamsicle look.

4. Stir in graham cracker crumbs (or vanilla cookie crumbs) until the mixture thickens and holds its shape.

5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until firm enough to roll.

6. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll into balls. Place on a parchment-lined tray.

7. Dip each ball into melted white chocolate (or roll in powdered sugar) and place back on the tray. For an extra pop, drizzle with orange-tinted white chocolate.

8. Refrigerate for 30 minutes until firm.

Notes

For a lighter citrus flavor, reduce the orange extract to 1 teaspoon.

If you prefer less sweetness, use unsweetened vanilla cookie crumbs instead of graham crackers.

These truffles can be frozen for up to 2 months — perfect for make-ahead desserts!

Try coating half the batch in orange-tinted chocolate for a two-tone creamsicle effect.
