  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9-inch round cake pan by adding unsalted butter and melting it in the oven.
  3. Make the caramel mixture by stirring in brown sugar and ground cinnamon to the melted butter.
  4. Arrange the sliced peaches over the caramel mixture in the pan.
  5. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  6. Mix wet ingredients in another bowl: milk, eggs, vegetable oil, bourbon, and vanilla extract.
  7. Combine the wet and dry ingredients gently.
  8. Pour the cake batter over the arranged peaches.
  9. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
