This Peach Pie Recipe features ripe peaches, warm spices, and a buttery crust for the ultimate summer dessert.
Ingredients
6–7 cups sliced fresh peaches
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Pinch of salt
1 double crust (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Roll out the bottom crust and place into a 9-inch pie pan.
3. Mix peaches, lemon juice, sugars, cornstarch, and spices in a large bowl.
4. Pour filling into crust and top with second crust or lattice.
5. Crimp edges, cut slits in top crust, and brush with egg wash.
6. Bake 45–55 minutes until golden and bubbly.
7. Cool for 2 hours before slicing.
Notes
Use ripe, fragrant peaches for the best flavor.
For a crisp crust, bake on a preheated baking sheet.
