Description
Festive peppermint Oreo balls made with crushed cookies, cream cheese, and a hint of mint, then dipped in smooth white or dark chocolate for the perfect holiday no-bake treat.
Ingredients
36 Oreo cookies
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
12 oz white or dark chocolate, melted
Crushed candy canes or peppermint pieces for topping
Instructions
1. Crush Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor.
2. Mix Oreo crumbs with softened cream cheese and peppermint extract until smooth.
3. Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
4. Chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes until firm.
5. Dip each ball into melted chocolate, coating completely.
6. Place back onto parchment paper and immediately sprinkle with crushed candy canes.
7. Refrigerate until chocolate is fully set.
8. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
Use white chocolate for a classic peppermint look.
Do not overuse peppermint extract — a little goes a long way.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days or freeze for longer storage.
